A non-profit organisation, WeDidIt works exclusively to serve humanity and promote volunteerism. Inspired by great thinkers, it urges people to work collectively for the betterment of the society.
The journey commenced from a thoughtful suggestion of a student to start a social start up in a seminar at P.B Siddhartha College in Vijayawada. In March 2020, when COVID-19 hit the world, some humanity driven individuals head started WeDidIt with the intention to produce leaders for social change. Soon a 5 member team grew into a family of 10,009 volunteers. From a mere thought, things turned into reality and recognition when Mr. Sree Krishna Seelam, the founder of WeDidIt foundation, won the ET Excellence Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship in 2021.
Why volunteer?
Service doesn't mean sporadically helping someone, instead it should be a veritable service that becomes a part of your character. Being selfless contributes in inculcating a sense of optimism. Volunteering generally produces leaders, and inculcates a genuine sense of contributing towards someone's wellness. The platform intends to create generous leaders who can contribute to society. Through virtual volunteering WeDidIt connected with nearly 6,005,400 virtual volunteers who would often share pictures of them engaging in service whether feeding birds or animals, or helping the helpless. While virtual volunteering continues as a part of the initiative, the organisation actively participates in physical volunteering and engages in creating awareness and promoting kindness and humanity.
Be a part of WeDidIt
WeDidIt conducts free seminars in schools and colleges and encourages them to volunteer. Engaging in drives like cleaning a river, organizing marathons, volunteering for farmers and recycling old notebooks, it is in no way different from other organisations who aim to work for the society. But WeDidIt differentiates in its approach in building a better society and a better planet by grooming individuals to become better leaders who become instrumental in enhancing quality of life and serve for the greater good.
